Scholarships

 Scholarship Programs

NYUS offers a wide range of scholarships, from academic merit-based awards to financial need-based assistance, for students enrolled in associate, bachelor’s, or master’s programs.

Scholarships provide funding that does not need to be repaid and are usually awarded based on academic merit, financial need, or a combination of both.

Over 1,000 scholarships and awards are available across NYUS and its 24 colleges.

Some scholarships help students at the start of their academic journey.

Others are awarded as students advance in their field of study — in the arts, sciences, or humanities.

Each college maintains a complete listing of scholarships and financial aid opportunities.

In addition to NYUS scholarships, thousands of private organizations also provide financial support to students.

Private Scholarships

Outside scholarships are awarded by external organizations to students who meet specific criteria.

Often based on high GPA, financial need, or special talents.

Students can find additional listings through the NYUS Financial Aid Department or local agencies.

Additional information

Each NYUS campus has a Director of Financial Aid dedicated to helping students.

Financial aid is disbursed differently depending on the scholarship type.

Students are encouraged to meet with the Financial Aid Department to explore opportunities and ensure proper funding for their education.
